The monthly insurance cost, deductibles and maximum limit for the amount of the replacement device vary on each equipment.
Phones
If you own a Verizon phone, the monthly rate for the insurance is $5.18 with $45 deductible on each claim that is approved. This is non-refundable. The maximum limit for the phone is $400 per claim.
Advanced Devices
If you own an advanced Verizon device, the monthly rate for the insurance is also $5.18 but the deductible is $99 on each claim that is approved. This is non-refundable. The maximum limit for the device is $1500 per claim.
Tablets
If you own a Verizon tablet, the monthly rate for the insurance is $8.18 with $169 or $199 deductible on each claim that is approved. This is non-refundable. The maximum limit for the device is $1500 per claim.
Extended Warranty
This can be purchased separately or may also come bundled with total equipment coverage. This covers electrical, as well as mechanical defects on the device that is already past the manufacturer’s warranty. The monthly rate for this is $1.99 for each device. If your device suffered from mechanical or electrical defects, you can file your claim by calling Verizon service at (800) 922-0204 or by dialing *611 from a Verizon mobile phone.
Total Equipment Coverage
If you would like to get both the protection from Asurion and the extended warranty, then you may get the total equipment coverage. Your device will be protected in case of electrical and mechanical defect or accidental damage; or if it was stolen or lost even if it is no longer under the manufacturer’s warranty. The monthly insurance cost, deductibles and maximum limit for the amount of the replacement device also vary on each equipment.
Phones
To get this coverage for your phone, you need to pay $6.99 per month. It comes with $45 deductible per claim, which cannot be refunded. There is a maximum limit of two replacements per year with the maximum amount of $400 for each device replacement.
